In the given figure, ∠8 = 107°, what is the sum of the ∠2 and ∠4?
Solution
Given ∠8 = 107°
∠2 = 107°
∵ ∠8 and ∠2 are alternate exterior angles,
∵ ∠8 = ∠2
∠4 = ∠2 ...(vertically opposite angles)
∴ ∠4 = 107°
∴ ∠2 + ∠4 = 107° + 107°
= 214°
∠2 + ∠4 = 214°
