Solve the following equation: `3/5"x" + 4 = 13`

Sum

Solution

`3/5"x" + 4 = 13`

⇒ `3/5"x" + 4 - 4 = 13 -4`  ..(subtracting 4 from both sides)

⇒  `3/5"x" = 9`

⇒ `3/5"x" xx 5/3 = 9 xx 5/3`  ...(Multiplying by `5/3`) 

∴ x = 15
