Question
State the units of moment of force.
Solution
In the CGS system, the unit of moment of a force is Dyne-cm and in the MKS system, the unit of moment of a force is Newton-metre. The gravitational units in CGS and MKS system of measurement are gf cm and kg m respectively.

Assertion & Reasoning
- Assertion: The sum of the clockwise moments is equal to the sum of the anticlockwise moments.
- Reason: The principle of conservation of momentum is valid if the external force on the system is zero.
