Question
The cost of fencing a square field at the rate of ₹ 75 per meter is ₹ 67,500. Find the perimeter and the side of the square field.
Solution
Given: The cost of fencing a square field rupees 75 per meter is 67500.
To find: The perimeter and the side of the square field?
Solution:
The cost of fencing = Length of the fence × Rate
Rs.67500 = Length of the fence × 75
Length of the fence = `67500/75`
Length of the fence =900 m
i.e. the perimeter of the square field is 900 meter.
We know that,
The perimeter of a square is p = 4 side
900 = 4 × side
`900/4` = side
225m = side
The side of the square is 225 meter.
