Question

The probability that two boys do not have the same birthday is 0.897. What is the probability that the two boys have the same birthday?

Sum

Solution

P(do not have the same birthday) + P(have same birthday) = 1

0.897 + P(have same birthday) = 1

P(have same birthday) = 1 – 0.897

P(have same birthday) = 0.103
