We have,
10.1 × 10.2 = (10 + 0.1)(10 + 0.2)
= (10)2 + (0.1 + 0.2)10 + (0.1)(0.2) ...[Using the identity, (x + a)(x + b) = x2 + (a + b)x + ab]
= 100 + 0.3 × 10 + 0.02
= 103.02
