⇒ `( x + 3 )/( x + 11) = ( x - 2 )/( x + 1 )`
⇒ `( x + 3 ) xx ( x + 1 ) = ( x - 2) xx ( x + 11 )`
⇒ `x^2 + x + 3x + 3 = x^2 + 11x - 2x - 22`
⇒ `4x + 3 = 9x - 22`
⇒ `9x - 4x = 22 + 3`
⇒ `5x = 25`
⇒ `x = 5`
Thus, the value of x is 5.
