With y-intercept – 4
The equation the line with slope m and having y – intercept b is y = mx + b .......(1)
Given b = – 4
∴ (1) ⇒ y = m x – 4
Given this line passes through the point (1, 1)
∴ 1 = m 1 – 4
⇒ m = 5
∴ The required equation is y = 5x – 4
