Find the median of 18, 19, 20, 23, 22, 20, 17, 19, 25 and 21

योग

उत्तर

18, 19, 20, 23, 22, 20, 17, 19, 25 and 21

Arranging in ascending order: 17, 18, 19, 19, 20, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25

Here, numbers of terms = 10 which is even.

∴ Median =`{"n"/2"th term"+("n"/2+1)"th term"}`

`= 1/2{10/2"th term"+(10/2+1)"th term"}`

= `1/2` {5th term + 6th term}

= `1/2` {20 + 20}

= `1/2xx40` = 20

Hence, median = 20
