प्रश्न
Calculate the area and the height of an equilateral triangle whose perimeter is 60 cm.
उत्तर
Each side of the triangle is `60/3` = 20 cm
Hence the area of the equilateral triangle is given by
A = `sqrt3/4` x 202
= 100√3
= 173.2 sq.cm
The height h of the triangle is given by
`1/2` x 20 x h = 173.2
h = 17.32 cm.
