Question
A function f is defined by f(x) = 2x – 3 find x such that f(x) = f(1 – x)
Solution
f(1 – x) = 2(1 – x) – 3
= 2 – 2x – 3
= – 2x – 1
f(x) = f(1 – x)
2x – 3 = – 2x – 1
2x + 2x = 3 – 1
4x = 2
x = `2/4 = 1/2`
