Question

Answer the following:

A function f is defined as : f(x) = 5 – x for 0 ≤ x ≤ 4. Find the value of x such that f(x) = 5

Sum

Solution

f(x) = 5 – x for 0 ≤ x ≤ 4

f(x) = 5

∴ 5 – x = 5

∴ x = 0
