Question
Circumference of a circle is always ______.
Options
more than three times of its diameter
three times of its diameter
less than three times of its diameter
three times of its radius
Solution
Circumference of a circle is always more than three times of its diameter.
Explanation:
We know that,
Circumference of a circle = 2πr
∴ Circumference = 2 × 3.14 × r ......[∵ π = 3.14]
⇒ Circumference = 3.14 × d ......[∵ d = 2r]
So, circumference of circle is always more than three times of its diameter.
