  2. Product advertising may be further sub-divided into direct action and indirect action advertising. Direct action advertising aims to seek a quick response or action to the advertisement. For example, a departmental store may give an advertisement in a local newspaper stressing this month's special arrivals. Indirect action advertising is designed to create a favourable attitude towards the advertised product over a long period of time.
