Question

If two coins are tossed, find the probability of the following event.
Getting no head ?

Solution

Sample Space (S) = {HH, HT, TT, TH}
∴ n(S) = 4

Event B: Getting no head
B = {TT}
∴ n(B) = 1

`therefore P(B) =(n(B))/(n(S))`

`= 1/4`

Hence, the probability of getting no head is `1/4.`
