Question
If two coins are tossed, then find the probability of the event: No heads turns up.
Solution
Since two coins are tossed.
∴ S = {HH, HT, TH, TT}
∴ n(S) = 4
Let A ≡ Event of getteing no head
∴ A ≡ {TT}
∴ n(A) = 1
∴ P(A) = `("n"("A"))/("n"("S")) = 1/2`
∴ P(A) = `1/4`
∴ The probabil;ity of grtting no head turns up is `1/4`
