Solution

3x − [5y − {6y + 2 (10y − x)}]

= 3x − [5y − {6y + 20y − 2x}]

= 3x − [5y − 6y − 20y + 2x]

= 3x − 5y + 6y + 20y − 2x

= 3x − 2x + 6y + 20y − 5y

= x + 21y
