Question
The probability that it will rain tomorrow is 0.85. What is the probability that it will not rain tomorrow?
Solution
Let E be the event of happening of rain
P(E) is given as 0.85
`barE` ⟶ not happening of rain
P(`barE`) = 1 – P(E) = 1 – 0.85 = 0.15
∴ P(not happening of rain) = 0.15
