Diamond and graphite are two allotropic forms of carbo.
 
Uses:
(a) Diamonds are used as precious stones in jewelry.
(b) Diamonds of inferior quality are used for cutting glass and drilling rocks.
(c) Graphite is used in making electrodes, as ‘lead’ in pencils and a lubricant.
