The Solar system:
The solar system is a group of objects that orbit around the Sun, which is a star at the centre.
It includes eight planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. These planets move in paths called orbits around the Sun.
- The Earth is the third planet from the Sun and is the only one known to have life.
- In addition to the planets, the solar system also has moons, which are smaller objects that orbit planets, like our Moon orbits Earth.
- There are also other objects, like asteroids and comets, that travel through the solar system.
- The solar system is part of a larger galaxy called the Milky Way. Everything in the solar system is held together by the sun's gravity.
