Given, ∠ACD = ∠BCE

∠ACD + ∠BCD = ∠BCE + ∠BCD

∠ACB = ∠DCE

Also, given ∠B = ∠E

∴ ∆ABC ∼ ∆DEC

`(ar(ΔABC))/(ar(ΔDEC)) = ((AB)/(DE))^2`

= `(10.4/7.8)^2`

= `(4/3)^2`

= `16/9`
