प्रश्न
Selection is a negative process. Explain.
Why selection is called a negative process?
उत्तर
Selection is a negative process because:
- Unsuitable candidates are eliminated or rejected in order to identify suitable candidates.
- The number of candidates rejected is much more than those actually selected.
- Moreover, tests, interviews and other techniques of selection are more reliable for rejecting unsatisfactory candidates than for identifying ideal candidates.
- Selection is always done after recruitment. The basic purpose of selection is to choose the right type of candidates to fill various positions in the organisation.
Notes
Students should refer to the answer according to their questions.
