प्रश्न
The side of a square is 10 cm. find the area of circumscribed and inscribed circles.
उत्तर
Circumscribed circle
Radius = `1/2` (diagonal of square)
=`1/2 × sqrt(2)`side
=`1/2 × sqrt(2)` × 10
=` 5sqrt(2)` cm
`Area = pir^2`
`=22/7xx25xx2`
`= 1100/7 cm^2`
Inscribed circle
Radius = `1/2`(sides)
`= 1/2xx10`
= 5 cm
`Area = pir^2`
`= 22/7xx5xx5`
`= 55/7 cm^2`
