Draw the graph for the equation, given below :
5x + y + 5 = 0

5x + y + 5 = 0
⇒ y = - 5x - 5
When x = 0;
y = - 5x x - 5
= - 0 - 5
= - 5
When x = - 1;
y = - 5 x (- 1) - 5
= 5 - 5
= 0
When x = - 2;
y = - 5 x (- 2) - 5
= 10 - 5
= 5
X | 0 | - 1 | - 2 |
Y | - 5 | 0 | 5 |
Plotting these points we get the required graph as shown below:
