x + 2y = -1 - (1)
⇒ X = -1 - 2y
2x - 3y = 12 -(2)
Putting the value of x in (2)
2 (-1 - 2y) -3y = 12
⇒ -7y = 14
⇒ y = -2

x + 2(-2) = -1
⇒ x = -1+4
⇒ x = 3
