Analytical method :
Consider a particle revolving in the anticlockwise sense along the circumference of a circle of radius r with centre O as shown.

Let

ω= angular velocity of the particle

v= linear velocity of the particle

r= radius of the particle

In the vector form, the linear dispalcement is

δs=δθ×r

Dividing both sides by δt we get

δsδt=δθδt×r

limδt0δsδt=limδt0δθδt×r

dSdt=dθδt×r

but

dSdt=v = Linear velocity

dθδt=ω = angular velocity

v=ω×r
