Question
Evaluate the Following:
`tan 45^@/(cosec 30^@) + sec 60^@/cot 45^@ - (5 sin 90^@)/(2 cos 0^@)`
Solution
We will put the value of trigonometric identities in the given expression,
`tan 45^@/(cosec 30^@) + sec 60^@/cot 45^@ - (5 sin 90^@)/(2 cos 0^@)`
`[tan 45^@ = 1, sin 90^@ = 1, cos 0^@ = 1]`
= `1/2 + 2/1 - (5 xx 1)/1`
`[cosec 30^@ = 2, cot 45^@ = 1, sec 60^@ = 2]`
= `1/2 + 2 - 5`
= `1/2 - 3`
= `(1-6)/2`
= `=5/2`
Hence, `tan 45^@/(cosec 30^@) + sec 60^@/cot 45^@ - (5 sin 90^@)/(2 cos 0^@) = -5/2`.
