Question

Find the volume and the surface area of the spheres in the following :

Diameter= 6.3 cm

Sum

Solution

Diameter= 6.3 cm

Diameter = 6.3 cm ⇒ radius (r) = 3.15 cm

Volume of sphere = `4/3pir^3`

= `4/3 xx 22/7 xx 3.15 xx 3.15 xx 3.15`

= 130.98 cm3

Surface area = `4pir^2`

= `4 xx 22/7 xx 3.15 xx 3.15`

= 124.74 cm2

Volume= 130.98 cm3 and Surface area = 124.74 cm2
