Question
For x = 0 find the value of the polynomial x2 - 5x + 5.
Solution
Let p (x) = x2 - 5x + 5
∴ p(0) = (0)2 - 5 × 0 + 5
= 0 - 0 + 5
= 5
Hence, for x = 0, the value of the polynomial is 5.
