In the figure, if ∠ABC = 35°, then find m(arc AXC)?
Solution
In the figure, arc AXC is intercepted by ∠ABC.
∴ ∠ABC = `1/2` m(arc AXC) ...[The measure of an inscribed angle is half of the measure of the arc intercepted by it]
∴ m(arc AXC) = 2∠ABC
∴ m(arc AXC) = 2 × 35°
∴ m(arc AXC) = 70°
