Question
The mean of a certain number of observations is 32. Find the resulting mean, if the observation is, increased by 60%.
Solution
Increased by = 60%
Resulting mean = 32 + 60% of 32
= `32 + 60/100 xx 32 = 32 + 192/10`
= `32/1 + 19.2/1 = 51.2`
