Notes

Budding:

Budding is a type of asexual reproduction in which new organisms are formed from the buds of existing organisms. New organisms remain attached to their parent organism until they mature. Yeast and buds on potatoes are the best examples of budding. Location of new origin seedlings of the daughter cell will always arise from the nodes present in the modified stems of these plants. In yeast, the division is unequal and small buds are produced that remain attached initially to the parent cell which, eventually gets separated and mature into new yeast organisms (cells).
