  • The village of Bhilar, which is close to Mahabaleshwar, is known for its natural beauty and strawberry's sweetness.
  • Its other name is the 'Village of Books'. Every home in this area keeps a library for the benefit of visitors.
  • This program has been put in place by the Maharashtra State Government to speed up the 'Reading Culture' movement so that reader tourists may appreciate the great Marathi literature that has been blended with the works of both established and up-and-coming authors and saints.
  • It comprises a variety of writings, such as biographies, autobiographies, fiction, poetry, works by women, writings about sports, works for young readers, etc.
  • Make it a point to visit Bhilar as well if you visit Mahabaleshwar.
