Question

Decide whether the following equation is quadratic equation or not.

(m + 2) (m – 5) = 0

Sum

Solution

(m + 2) (m – 5) = 0

\[\Rightarrow m^2 - 3m - 10 = 0\]

Only one variable m.
Maximum index = 2
So, it is a quadratic equation.
