- A person can be called physically fit if he/ she can meet both ordinary and unusual demands of his daily life, without being overly fatigued, and still have energy left for leisure and recreational activities. Physical fitness describes a set of attributes relating to how well one performs physical activities.
- Physical fitness can be divided into two categories: health related and motor-skill related. Health-related components of physical fitness include those factors which tell how well the systems of our body work. They make an individual fit, functional, and productive for everyday living.
- Skill-related components of physical fitness are those aspects of fitness which form the basis of successful participation in sports activities. They make an individual successful in athletics or motor developed activities.
