Question

Find the area and perimeter of the circle with the following:

Diameter= 35 cm

Sum

Solution

Diameter= 2 r

`=> "r" = "diameter"/2 = 35/2 = 17.5` cm

Area of the drde = πr2

`= 22/7 xx 17.5 xx 17.5`

= 962.5 cm2

Perimeter of the circle = 2 π r

`= 2 xx 22/7 xx 17.5`

= 110 cm

Therefore, Area= 962.5 cm2 and Perimeter= 110 cm
