Find the area of the region bounded by the following curves, X-axis and the given lines: y = 2x, x = 0, x = 5

Solution

Required area = `int_0^5 y*dx, "where"  y = 2x`

= `int_0^5 2x*dx`

= `[(2x^2)/2]_0^5`

= 25 – 0
= 25 sq units.
