Find the value of p if the line 3y = 5x - 7 passes through the point (p,6).
Solution
The line 3y = 5x - 7 passes through (p,6)
(p,6) will satisfy the equation of line
3( 6) = 5(p) - 7
⇒ 25 =5p
⇒ p= 5
