In following figure . O is the centre of the circle. Find ∠ BAC.
Solution
BOC is the diameter of circle,
∴ ∠ BOC = 180°
Since are BC makes ∠ BOC at the centre and ∠ BAC on the remaining part of the circle.
∴ ∠ BAC = `1/2` ∠ BOC
∴ ∠ BAC = `1/2 xx 180 = 90 ^circ`
