Magnet:

A magnet is a material that attracts objects made from iron, nickel, cobalt, and some other metals. This pulling force is called magnetism. Magnetism is the property of a material that allows it to attract certain metals like iron, nickel, and cobalt. This force acts even without the materials touching each other.

Types of Magnets:

  1. Natural Magnets: Found in nature (like lodestone).
  2. Artificial Magnets: Made by humans, such as bar magnets or horseshoe magnets.

Every magnet has two poles: the North Pole and the South Pole. These are the areas where the magnetic force is the strongest. Magnets are used in many everyday objects like compasses, electric motors, fridge magnets, and even in technology like computers.
