= `(27/8)^(2/3) - (3)^2 - 1`
= `(3/2)^(3 xx 2/3) - 9 - 1`
= `(3/2)^2 - 10`
= `(9)/(4) - 10`
= `(9 - 40)/(4)`
= `(-31)/(4)`.
