Question
Draw the V-I characteristics of an LED. State two advantages of LED lamps over convertional incandescent lamps.
Solution
Advantages of LED over incandescent lamps:
(i) LEDs do not have a filament that will burn out, so they last much longer.
(ii) LEDs output more lumens of light than regular incandescent bulbs.
(iii) LED has less power and low operating voltage
(iv)LED has fast action and required no warm-up time.
