If the sum of the areas of two circles with radii r1 and r2 is equal to the area of a circle of radius r, then  \[r_1^2 + r_2^2\]

Solution

We have given area of the circle of radius r1 plus area of the circle of radius r2 is equal to the area of the circle of radius r.

Therefore, we have, 

`pir_1^2+pir_2^2=pir^2`

Cancelling pi, we get 

`r_1^2+r_2^2=r^2`

Therefore, `r_1^2+r_2^2=r^2`
