Explanation:
7y = ax + 4
⇒ y = `a/7x + 4/7`
∴ m1 = `a/7`
2y = 3 − x
⇒ `y = -x/2 + 3/2`

Here, the lines 7y = ax + 4 and 2y = 3 − x are parallel to each other.
∴ m1 = m2
⇒ `a/7 = (-1/2)`
⇒ a = `(-7)/2`
