In ΔBXD and ΔCYD
∠BXD = ∠CYD ...(90)
∠XDB = ∠YDC ...(vertically opposite angles)
BD = DC ...(AD is median on BC)
Therefore, ΔBXD ≅ ΔCYD ...(AAS criteria)
Hence, BX = CY.
