 Let, y =cos1{cosx+sinx2}

y=cos1{(12)cosx+(12)sinx}

y=cos1{cosπ4cosx+sinπ4sinx}

y=cos1{cos(π4x)}...(i)

 Here ,π4<x<π4

π4>x>π4

π4<x<π4

(π4+π4)<(x+π4)<(π4+π4)

0<(π4x)<π2

 So, from equation (i),

y=π4x[ Since ,cos1(cosθ)=θ, if θ[0,π]]

 Differentiating it with respect to x ,

dydx=01

dydx=1
