Reasons for Homelessness:
Basic Needs: Every person needs water, food, clothing, and shelter to live. But sometimes, these needs are not met for everyone.
- Lack of Affordable Housing: Some people cannot afford to buy or rent a house because housing is too expensive. This makes them homeless, as they have nowhere to stay.
- Inadequate Income: Some people do not earn enough money to cover their basic needs, including a living place. This means they cannot afford a house and may become homeless.
- Unemployment: When people do not have jobs, they do not have an income to pay for a home. Without a job, it becomes very difficult to afford a house.
- Physical and mental disorders: Some people suffer from health problems that make it hard for them to work or earn money. If they cannot work, they might not be able to pay for a home.
- Natural Disasters: Events like floods, earthquakes, or hurricanes can destroy homes. When this happens, people might lose their houses and become homeless.
- Poverty: Poverty means not having enough money to meet basic needs, including housing. Poor people might not have the money to pay for a home, leading to homelessness.
Government Programs:
The government tries to help homeless people by creating programs to provide homes. In some cities, the government provides night shelters where homeless people can sleep safely.
