Conservation of Forests and Wildlife

Type Description Purpose/Examples Benefits
Biodiversity Parks A special area is made to protect and conserve various plants and animals. Biodiversity is preserved and studied. People enjoy nature, which encourages care for the environment.
National Parks Areas set aside to protect wildlife and nature. Examples: Kaziranga National Park and Tadoba National Park. Protects various wildlife species and their natural habitats.
Sanctuaries Forests are protected for specific animals or plants. Example: Radhanagari Sanctuary protects bison. Ensures the survival of endangered species.

If plants are destroyed, the number of animals will also decrease because animals depend on plants for food and shelter.

By stopping deforestation (cutting down trees) and planting more trees, animals that depend on forests will be protected and can live happily.
