Question
Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are 34 cm and 20 cm. If one of its diagonal is 42 cm, find: distance between its shorter sides
Solution
Again, area of parallelogram = Base x Height
⇒ 672 = 20 x Height
⇒ Height
= `(672)/(20)`
= 33.6cm
Thus, the distance between the shortest sides of a parallelogram is 33.6cm.
