प्रश्न

Find the area of a quadrant of a circle whose circumference is 22 cm. [Use `pi = 22/7`]

बेरीज

उत्तर

Let the radius of the circle be r.

Circumference = 22 cm

2πr = 22

`2 xx 22/7 xx r = 22`

`r = 22 xx7/22 xx 1/2 `

= `r = 7/2`

Here θ = 90°

∴ Area of the `(1/4)^(th)` quadrant of the circle = `theta/(360°) xx pir^2`

`= (90°)/(360°) xx 22/7 xx (7/2)^2`cm2

`= 1/4 xx 22/7 xx 7/2 xx 7/2` cm

`= 77/8` cm2
